This week, we examine the next great battle in Grant's overland campaign, The Battle of Spotsylvania Courthouse, taking place just over a week after the Wilderness. He will specifically look at the 23 hours struggle for a 150-yard long section of trenches which would become known as "Hell's Half Acre," or, more famously, "The Bloody Angle."
